Applications are being accepted for the Leadership Hancock County 2018 – 2019 class. This annual program, managed by the Hancock Chamber, identifies and prepares the community¢s existing and future leadership resources. The program’s mission is to support current and emerging leaders in developing leadership skills, creating community awareness and building understanding of local and global issues. Each participant becomes part of a growing network of leaders that have the motivation, sense of commitment and opportunity to become change agents for the good of Hancock County.
Applications for Leadership Hancock County are now being accepted through Tuesday, July 31, 2018. Participants are selected based on their application and leadership potential that represents a broad cross-section of Hancock County, and who have time to commit to the program and future community service. The annual fee to participate is $425 per person; partial scholarships may be available.
Participants must be residents of Hancock County or employed in Hancock County and be a Chamber member representative. To be considered for selection in the program, you must submit an application to the Hancock Chamber by the July 31st deadline. Applications can be submitted online through the Chamber’s website www.hancockchamber.org (under Programs/Leadership Hancock County) or can be picked up at the Chamber Office located at 100 Beach Blvd, Suite A, Bay St. Louis.
Leadership Hancock County is a program of the Hancock Chamber and meets monthly for full-day sessions from September through May. Class sessions will focus on economic development (civic, physical, and social infrastructure, work force and business development, cultural and heritage preservation), and exercises to develop skills for leading.
