HANCOCK CHAMBER CUTS THE RIBBON ON GULF COAST GOLF CARTS BAY ST. LOUIS LOCATION
Founded in 2023 in the back of Diamondhead by David Dreher, Gulf Coast Golf Carts has now expanded across the Coast with a location in Biloxi and now open on Highway 90 in the Bay. Operating from the historic Charles Perniciaro’s Automotive Shop, it offers a wide range of customizable golf carts, blending modern selection with vintage charm. The business employs local high school students and supports community fundraising efforts, becoming a symbol of growth and engagement in the area. “David is an amazing entrepreneur, so it is no surprise that his business was nominated as business of the year for Bay St. Louis,” said Tish Williams, executive director of the Hancock Chamber.
At the Ribbon Cutting, Cathy Perniciaro said, “Charles would love to see something like this happen.” He operated a successful automobile mechanic and wrecker business for nearly 50 years at that location.
“It is really a visitor attraction,” said Williams. “When you walk inside you will see things that date back to the 1950’s and vintage golf carts out front.”
Dreher said historically, locals knew that if your car broke down you would bring it to a Perniciaro. “We want people to know that when their golf cart breaks down, they can bring it to Gulf Coast Golf Carts.”
“We do it all, sales, rentals and service,” said Dreher. “Even if you did not buy your cart from us, we will service it for you.” For more information, go to www.mississippigolfcarts.com or call 228-255-0092.
