HANCOCK CHAMBER ANNOUNCES FIRST POWER HOUR LUNCH BREAK OF 2025, “CREATING A CULTURE OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP”
The Hancock Chamber of Commerce will kick off its first Power Hour Lunch Break of the year on Tuesday, March 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bogart’s Bistro inside Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast. The featured speaker, Jamie Miller, President & CEO of the Gulf Coast Business Council, will discuss the recently announced coast-wide entrepreneurship development initiative.
“We were so energized by learning about this new Gulf Coast Business Council initiative at their last meeting,” said Tish Williams, Executive Director of the Hancock Chamber. “We are excited to share this information with our members and look forward to working together to elevate opportunities for entrepreneurs in Hancock County.”
Miller has led the Gulf Coast Business Council since 2022, driving economic growth and regional collaboration along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His career includes serving as Chief Operating Officer of the Mississippi Development Authority and as Executive Director of the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources, where he played a key role in economic and coastal development efforts.
The Power Hour series, a joint initiative of the Hancock Chamber and The Longo Group, provides members and the community with valuable insights on business and economic topics. Hosted by Ted Longo, a Waveland native and financial expert, the series offers an opportunity for meaningful discussions. Longo is the owner of The Longo Group in Slidell, La., which provides comprehensive financial planning and investment solutions for businesses and individuals with complex financial needs.
Additionally, Pearl River Community College will be announced as a presenting sponsor of the Power Hour series. Industrial Business Director Bo Worley will share updates on behalf of PRCC, including upcoming training and professional development opportunities.
There is no fee to attend, but advance registration is requested at hancockchamber.org. Attendees will cover the cost of their own meals.
