This week, the Hancock Chamber of Commerce announces the kick-off of the 100th Anniversary of its founding by the Bay St. Louis Rotary Club with a spring packed with Ribbon Cuttings for local businesses. From local entrepreneurs to popular regional businesses, new ventures are popping up across Hancock County, signaling growth and investment in our community.

“The number of ribbon cuttings scheduled from now until May demonstrate why businesses join the Chamber,” said Tish Williams, Executive Director of the Hancock Chamber. 

“Nationwide, 44 percent of consumers are more likely to think favorably of a small business when they know the company is a member of the chamber of commerce and are 63 percent more likely to purchase goods or services from the company in the future. If a company is highly involved in the local chamber, a consumers believe the company is trustworthy, involved in the community, and is an industry leader,” she added.

Here’s a look at the exciting ribbon cuttings coming up:

January

Jan. 30 at 4 p.m. – Secret Coast Security
Location: Hancock Chamber Business Resource Center, 300 S. 2nd St., Bay St. Louis

Jan. 31, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. – Barracuda Taco Stand
Location: 112 N. 2nd St., Bay St. Louis
A New Orleans favorite, Barracuda Taco Stand is bringing its fresh, flavorful tacos and refreshing libations to Old Town Bay St. Louis.

February

Feb. 6 at 4 p.m. – Flip Flop Shops Bay St. Louis
Location: 142 Blaize Ave., Bay St. Louis
Get ready for warm weather at the Depot District’s newest addition! Flip Flop Shops carries favorite brands like Havianas, Birkenstock, Crocs, Rainbow and more.

Feb. 13 at 4 p.m. – Coastal Mobile Beverage Bar
Location: Hancock Chamber Business Resource Center, 300 S. 2nd St., Bay St. Louis
Coastal Mobile Beverage Bar is perfect for outdoor events, offering custom cocktails, unique rental setups, and even fun yard games like giant Jenga and Connect 4.

Feb. 20, 5–7 p.m. – Hancock Resource Center Ribbon Cutting & Business After Hours
Location: 887 Washington Ave., Bay St. Louis
Visit the Hancock Resource Center’s new home! Learn about their many programs supporting housing, veterans, youth, and more.

Mar. 6 at 4 p.m. – Renaissance Dermatology
Location: 501 Main St., Ste. 2, Bay St. Louis
Led by Dr. Laurie Harrington, this new office offers a range of dermatology and aesthetic services.

Mar. 27 at 10 a.m. – 7 Brew Coffee
Location: 340 Hwy 90, Waveland

Apr. 10 at 4 p.m. – Bridgeway Insurance Open House
