NEW TOUR OF PROPERTIES AVAILABLE FOR SALE WILL PRESENTED IN CONJUNCTION WITH ARTS ALIVE FESTIVAL UNDER THE THEME “THE ART OF LIVING”

The Parade of Homes will return to Hancock County on Saturday, March 29th during the two-day annual ArtsAlive Festival. The Parade, which is free and open to the public, will feature homes for sale throughout Hancock County.

Managed through the Hancock Chamber Relocation Committee, the Parade of Homes was introduced in 2019 and held for a 2nd year in 2020. The 2020 event yielded an impressive reach of over 1 million people. According to the data from the first two years, most attendees are from Louisiana, so the Chamber will partner with both local and New Orleans outlets to deliver a comprehensive campaign that includes print, digital, social media with the potential of reaching over 2 million people whose incomes, current home values and education levels are well above the regional median and whose age is below the regional median.

“We are leveraging technology, the best regional storytellers and multimedia partnerships to target people who are more likely not just to relocate but to also put down roots in our area, develop generational wealth and drive future property values in the decades to come,” said Tish Williams, Executive Director of the Hancock Chamber.

The Parade of Homes will feature homes for sale at every price point for people in all stages of the home buying process, from first-time homebuyers to those upgrading or downsizing. Businesses that are part of the real estate industry are invited to participate as sponsors. Homebuilders, real estate agents and brokers, insurance brokers, title companies, and mortgage lenders will want to be a part of this promotion that is funded in part from a grant from Coastal Mississippi.

“Hancock County is one of the fastest growing counties in Mississippi, and there are many reasons why like quality of life, our close proximity to New Orleans, and a vibrant community with plenty of things to do,” said Aissa Wiggins, Real Estate Agent at John McDonald Realty and Chairman of the Hancock Chamber Relocation Committee.

What’s different about the 2025 event is that it will be produced in conjunction with the Arts Alive Festival. In doing so, out-of-town attendees will get a better idea of the Hancock County lifestyle. They will experience our culture, hospitality and vibrant arts scene first-hand. Arts Alive will serve as an orientation point for attendees who would like a face-to-face briefing at the “HancockMYHome Hospitality Tent” on the grounds of the historic Depot, sponsored in part by Gulf Coast Home, before heading directly to one of the property listings.

Information on how your business can be a sponsor of this event is now available online at http://hancockmsmyhome.com.  Questions may be directed to the Hancock Chamber of Commerce at 228-467-9048.

Those touring the homes on March 29th will be invited to register onsite at each of the homes.  All registered attendees will be entered in the drawing for the grand prize giveaways valued at over $2,500 and will get an extra entry for every home toured.  Listings for homes on the tour will be available for viewing online in early March.
