Now you can market your business to hundreds of consumers and support 16 community causes with just one donation. Each year, during the Hancock Chamber’s Salute to Business & Industry Gala, donations from area businesses are featured in a Silent Auction to benefit the Hancock County Community Development Foundation. This year, the Gala Auction will be online and reach event more than the 400 people expected to attend the event on Thursday, August 29th at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast.

If you would like to market your business through this auction, you can donate a product or service to feature. Last year, the auction featured items from 100 local business and raised $12,000 for the Hancock County Community Development Foundation (HCCDF). HCCDF was founded by the Hancock Chamber in 2006 and plays a pivotal role in advancing community growth and support across Hancock County. 

Over the past year alone, this 501 (c) (3) public charity has made a profound impact on Hancock County. Recently they allocated $80,000 in grants to 16 small businesses. They also supported $10,000 in classroom grants for area schools and supported $2,000 in scholarships for High School Seniors. Over the years, the Foundation has created 72 new jobs, re-established 42 businesses, planted trees, enhanced parks, and installed bronze stars, among other contributions.

Beyond its own projects, the Foundation has also given rise to some of Hancock County’s most impactful nonprofits. Organizations like the Hancock Resource Center, The Arts, Hancock County, the Waveland Ground Zero Hurricane Museum and 100 Men Hall all began as Foundation funds and now serve as integral parts of the community, reflecting the Foundation’s commitment to long-term growth and resilience.
