HANCOCK CHAMBER EDUCATION COMMITTEE PRESENTS ANNUAL SENIOR APPRECIATION BREAKFAST FEATURING KEYNOTE SPEAKER DR. TOY WATTS
Hancock Co., Miss. Apr. 3, 2024 – The Hancock Chamber Education Committee is honored to announce its highly anticipated Annual Senior Appreciation Breakfast, scheduled for Thursday, April 25th at 8 a.m. The event will take place at the Bay St. Louis Community Hall, bringing together graduating seniors from Bay High, Hancock High, St. Stanislaus, and Our Lady Academy for a morning of celebration and inspiration.
About the Event
Each year, this breakfast serves as a cornerstone event, fostering community connection and honoring the achievements of our local seniors. Upon arrival, seniors will be welcomed by a distinguished receiving line comprising community leaders, elected officials, and esteemed school board members.
A sumptuous catered breakfast awaits attendees, featuring an array of delectable offerings including vibrant tropical fruit sculptures, buttery pastries, savory eggs, crispy bacon, and an assortment of trimmings to satisfy every palate.
The program for the morning will commence with a warm welcome from Dr. Raymunda Barnes, the longstanding Chairman of the Education Committee and Vice President of the Pearl River Community College Hancock Campus. Dr. Barnes, known for his unwavering commitment to education and community service, will set the stage for an enriching and memorable event.
Taking center stage as the keynote speaker is the esteemed Dr. Toy L. Watts, Superintendent of the Laurel School District. Hailing from Bay St. Louis, Dr. Watts brings a wealth of experience as a teacher, coach, counselor, principal, and assistant superintendent. Notably, she holds the distinction of being the first woman and the first African American woman to hold her position, serving as an inspirational figure for aspiring leaders everywhere.
