HANCOCK CHAMBER CALLING FOR NOMINATIONS FOR 2023 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR, NONPROFIT OF THE YEAR AND OUTSTANDING CITIZENS
VIEW PAST OUTSTANDING CITIZENS/CITIZENS OF THE YEAR
Hancock County, Miss. May 18, 2023 – The Hancock Chamber of Commerce has announced that the highly anticipated 2023 Awards Gala will be held on Thursday, August 24th at Hollywood Casino Gulf Coast. This annual celebration recognizes outstanding businesses, nonprofits, and citizens who have made significant contributions to the communities of Bay St. Louis, Diamondhead, Waveland, and Kiln/Hancock County.
Nominations are now open for Businesses of the Year for Bay St. Louis, Diamondhead, Waveland and Kiln/Hancock County as well as Nonprofit of the Year and Top 10 Outstanding Citizens. Nominations an be submitted through the Hancock Chamber of Commerce website at www.hancockchamber.org. The deadline for nominations is Friday, June 9th. Voting will begin on Wednesday, July 5th. Business winners will be announced after voting ends. One overall Citizen of the Year will be announced at the Gala.
Tish Williams, the Executive Director of the Hancock Chamber of Commerce, said, “The Awards Gala is an opportunity for our community to come together and recognize the exceptional contributions made by our local businesses, nonprofits, and citizens. We encourage everyone to submit nominations and help us honor those who have positively impacted the growth and prosperity of our region.”
The Awards Gala promises to be an extraordinary evening filled with excitement and celebration. Known as the local version of the Academy Awards, attendees can expect an elegant atmosphere, exquisite cuisine, live music and a silent auction benefiting the Hancock County Community Development Foundation. The room will be filled with over 400 of the most prominent business leaders and community influencers.
Doors for the Awards Gala will open at 5:30, where guests will enjoy a cocktail hour, silent auction and live music. The program will begin at 6.
